Unlike fused filter patterns, high-flow filter patterns are model-specific; different models are not interchangeable. The specific model required should be determined based on the specific high-flow filter being used; therefore, the filter housing and high-flow cartridge are usually designed to be used as a matched set. The purpose of this guide is to explain how to properly install a high-flow filter cartridge after purchase.
Installation procedure for high-flow filter cartridges:
1. Moisten the O-ring to facilitate insertion, then slowly and vertically insert the filter cartridge. It should be completely inside the circular groove of the stainless steel housing.
2. Attach the fins to the base of the filter cartridge using the perforated stainless steel plate. Do not squeeze it, as excessive pressure can cause the cartridge to deform during high-temperature sterilization.
3. Avoid direct hand contact with the filter paper or membrane surfaces of both the filter housing and the cartridge itself.
4. Rinse the filter cartridge thoroughly before use, if possible.
5. When starting or ending operation, open and close the valves slowly and sequentially (rather than simultaneously) to prevent the filter cartridge from being pulled inward by suction during high-temperature sterilization cycles.
