High-flow filter cartridges have long been one of the most commonly used types of filter elements in the filtration industry, appearing in a wide range of fields. However, during the service life of these cartridges, the need for replacement is frequent. So, what is the proper procedure for replacing a high-flow filter cartridge? Below, we outline the proper steps for replacing these cartridges.
First, before replacement, you will need to disconnect both the plated ball valve and the pressure tank ball valve. Next, open the faucet to completely drain any liquid remaining in the pipe.
Second, when the fluid stops flowing, use a filter housing wrench to open the housing containing the high-flow cartridge. Remove the old, used cartridge and then insert a new cartridge with exactly the same default specifications.
Next, apply a lubricant to the black O-ring on the top of the filter housing, and then secure the O-ring into the designated groove in the housing. Next, tighten the filter cover strictly vertically to avoid loosening the O-ring.
Completing the steps outlined above effectively concludes the high-flow filter cartridge replacement process. Finally, simply reopen the plated ball valve and pressure tank ball valve to resume filtration operations.
