During operation, it not only has to withstand its own centrifugal force but also suffers continuous and intense impacts from the materials. The sieve basket is composed of wedge-shaped screens, upper flange, lower flange, reinforcing ribs, and reinforcing rings. This structure is very sturdy, so that it does not deform or crack under extreme working conditions and can achieve high separation of solids and liquids during high-speed rotation.
Working principle
- The main motor drives the sieve basket to rotate at high speed, generating a strong centrifugal force;
- The wet materials enter through the feeding pipe and are then evenly scattered on the inner wall of the rotating sieve basket.
- Under the action of the centrifugal force, water and small particle liquids quickly pass through the gaps and are thrown out, while large particle solids (coal) are retained on the inner wall;
- At the same time, the vibration system (or scraping blades and other mechanisms) causes the sieve basket to vibrate axially, making the solid materials move uniformly and continuously forward, and finally being discharged from the front chute , completing the entire dehydration process.
Applications

The centrifuge sieve basket can handle 80-120 tons of coal fines and coal slime per hour, reducing the moisture content of the material to below 16%.

It is also suitable for dewatering or classification of various minerals and chemical raw materials in the chemical and metallurgical industries, achieving a medium recovery rate of up to 98.7% in the mineral processing cycle.

The sieve basket can be used for solid-liquid separation of fracturing fluid in shale gas extraction, withstanding a pressure of ≥6MPa. In oilfield applications, its service life is 3.2 times longer than that of traditional screens.

It is a key equipment for separating fibers from starch milk in starch processing, including potato, wheat, and corn starch production.

It can also be used for centrifugal dewatering of municipal sludge, reducing the sludge moisture content from 99% to 75%, with a single machine daily processing capacity of up to 150 tons.
