1. First, inspect the O-ring; then place the cleaned filter element horizontally in the sealing groove to ensure a good seal.
2. Saturate the O-ring with the process fluid.
3. Remove the protective packing bag, install the housing head, and tighten the eye bolt attachments.
4. Fully open the vent valve at the top of the housing.
5. Open the inlet valve slightly to allow fluid to enter the housing until it flows out of the vent valve; then close the vent valve.
6. Slowly open the exhaust valve fully, and gradually open the inlet valve fully.
7. Flush the 10" filter element with the process fluid for about 5 to 10 minutes.
8. The filter element shall not be subjected to sudden high current flows, nor shall it be exposed to significant reverse pressure.
9. If the differential pressure exceeds 0.15 MPa or the flow rate drops significantly, this indicates that the filter element is clogged. The filter element can be removed and the outer surface cleaned with clean water at a pressure of less than 0.2 MPa.
10. When the pleated filter element is taken out of use, do not allow it to dry; store it in the filter housing instead. Fill the housing with clean water or antimicrobial water; the element can then be thoroughly cleaned before returning to use.
