Physicochemical Properties of Sintered Metal Filter Elements

Feb 02, 2026

Common materials used for sintered metal filter elements include stainless steel (such as 304L and 316L), titanium, and nickel-based alloys (such as Hastelloy and Inconel), all of which possess excellent corrosion resistance.

The porosity ranges from 28% to 50%, with pore sizes ranging from 4 μm to 160 μm, and a filtration precision of 0.2 μm to 100 μm. These elements exhibit high mechanical strength, making them suitable for high-pressure environments (withstanding internal pressures of up to 3 MPa); they are also weldable, facilitating easy installation and removal. Furthermore, they are highly heat-resistant, with an operating temperature range extending from -200°C to 600°C (for select products) and a maximum long-term service temperature of ≤500°C. Resistant to acids, alkalis, and general corrosion, they are suitable for use with a wide variety of corrosive media.
